The first competitive event took place on Sunday 19th April. An entry of 8 played 1 ball as an “all play all” event. There were 4 players on 5 wins and the Manager was able to eventually decide that Don Wright was this years winner, so it looks like Don is continuing where he left off last season! The full result is as follows: 5/7 Don Wright, Derek Watts, Peter Cartman and Pat Memery, 3/7 Gail Peters, 2/7 Judith McLane and Mike Solomon, 1/7 Stephen Peters. Derek Johnson carried out the Managerial role perfectly. It was good to have a mix of AC and GC players taking part on a dry sunny day.

The annual 1 ball tournament is to be held on Sunday 19th April.
There will be 2 taster days to be held in May this year – Sunday 3rd and 11th May.

After the preparation to tidy the lawns, Mark carried out a high cut and so we are ready to mark out the hoop positions and add the white boundary lines on Tuesday 31st March.
Opening day Saturday 4th April from 1 – 4pm can be utilised by games of Progressive Doubles which gives everybody an opportunity to play a few games after the long winter lay off.

The AGM will take place on Sunday 1st March 2026, 10.30am in the Pavilion.

The AC Handicap Doubles will take place on Monday 29th September using both lawns for the day.
The Club’s Annual Dinner and Presentations will take place on Wednesday 22nd October in the Northumberland Golf Club, Gosforth Park at 7.00pm for 7.30pm.

The next Committee Meeting is Tuesday 30th September at 10.30 in the Pavilion.
The Club’s annual One Ball tournament will take place on Saturday 9th August. Come along for an interesting form of croquet – initial tuition will be given at 9.30 and play will commence at 10.00, bring your own lunch.
The CE Tyneside AC Advanced Tournament will be held on the weekend Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August which will be from 09.30 – 1700 each day.
The weekend 12/13 July – there will be no vehicle access to Exhibition Park and the Tyneside Quaich has now been rearranged to Saturday 16th August. The lawns will be open for anyone wanting to play.
The Turner Goblet (GC Singles) will be held at Backworth CC on Saturday 6th September and the entry fee is £10 – please contact Don Morton for details.

OPEN DAY at TCC on Sunday 11th May from 11am until 3pm as part of the Jesmond Community Festival. Come along and try croquet for a change of sport – you wont regret it!
